Paris Charles de Gaulle meet & greet: what to know before you fly
Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), also called Roissy, is France's largest international airport and a major hub. It has three terminals: 1, 2 and 3. Terminal 2 is the largest and is divided into several halls, which can be far apart, so knowing exactly where to meet matters.
Arriving at Charles de Gaulle
Your greeter meets you at the agreed point, accompanies you through border control and baggage reclaim, and takes you to your chauffeur. A personal escort is especially useful in a large, multi-hall terminal, where signs and distances can be confusing after a long flight.
Getting into Paris
The city centre is around 25 to 30 km to the south-west. By road it usually takes 45 to 75 minutes, and the A1 motorway is often congested at peak times. The RER B train takes roughly 35 to 45 minutes to central Paris, but it can be crowded with luggage. See our Paris service.
Charles de Gaulle or Orly?
Charles de Gaulle handles most long-haul and international flights. Orly, on the south side of Paris, is closer to the city and serves many European and some long-haul routes. Check which airport your ticket uses.
