Heathrow meet & greet: what to know before you fly
London Heathrow is the UK's busiest airport and one of the largest international hubs in the world. It has four passenger terminals, 2, 3, 4 and 5, and each is big. The walk from the aircraft to immigration can be long, so a personal escort saves real time on arrival, especially after a long-haul flight.
Arriving at Heathrow
Arrivals follow the usual route: aircraft, immigration, baggage reclaim, customs and the arrivals hall. How long this takes depends on your terminal, the time of day and whether several long-haul flights land together. Your greeter meets you at the agreed point, stays with you through the process and hands you to your chauffeur. Where the airport's own priority arrangements apply to your ticket, we work with them.
Getting into London
Central London is around 24 km (15 miles) east of the airport. By road it usually takes 45 to 75 minutes, and longer at peak times. The Elizabeth line and the Heathrow Express are fast rail options, but you carry your own luggage and change at the other end. A chauffeur takes you door to door. See our London service.
Departures and connections
Terminals are far apart, so if you are changing terminals or flights, allow extra time and ask us about connection assistance. For a departure, your greeter can meet you at the terminal entrance and walk you through check-in and security.
Worth knowing
